這幾位教牧的問題都大同小異，他們都在講道前已下過苦工，在講道時卻像沒感染到聽眾，而且在講道計劃無法取得平衡。有的教牧表示講道愈來愈著重生命與生活的討論，卻對其他方面似乎頗為忽略。他們雖然曾經參考好些講道學的書籍，卻甚少提及如何計劃講道，令他們不知所措。
