| Formatted contents note | 张岱年（1909-2004），字季同，别署宇同。1909年5月出生于北京，原籍河北省献县。父亲张濂，光绪（1903年）进士，授职翰林院编修。长兄张崧年是中国现代哲学家，对张岱年的学术道路选择产生了直接影响。1928年，张岱年考入清华大学，旋即退学，又报考北京师范大学教育系，被录取。1933年大学毕业时，因发表学术论文多篇，被清华大学哲学系聘为助教，从事哲学专业的教学工作。“七·七”事变以后，清华大学南迁，他滞留北京，闭门著书。1943年任教于私立中国大学，聘为哲学讲师。抗战胜利后，1946年清华大学复校，回清华大学哲学系工作，1951年晋升为教授。1952年，全国高等院校调整，调任北京大学哲学系教授，一直从事中国哲学的教学和研究工作。<br/><br/>本书按哲学理论、中国哲学史和文化研究三个部分来选编，各部分的内容则以写作或发表的时间序。这种编排的好处是把张先生作为哲学家、哲学史家和国学大师所取的主要学术成果更集中地展示给读者，由于篇幅所限，本选集只收入张先生在各个时期最有代表性的论文，而其专著，除了《天人五论》之外，其余只能收入最精要的部分，有些专著《中国唯物主义思想简史》、《中国哲学史史料学》等则未能收入。为使读者对张先生的一生及其主要学术成果有一综合的认识。 |
